"I started donating to Beads of Courage after hearing Jean, the founder of BOC, speak about the organization at the ISGB Gathering in 2003. Over the years, I have donated hundreds of beads and now am retired and no longer do shows so my beads are almost exclusively made for pleasure and then donated to BOC." - Glenda Long
Artist Inspiration: The colors of the ocean, foam, and sky blend into a calming vista. The strength of the swirling water creates a foam that makes me feel stronger. Peace fills my soul when I watch the movement of waves against the background of a calm sky.
