Our Beads of Courage Sibling EnCOURAGEment Bridge Activity helps us reflect on and celebrate the pillars of support in our lives. Featuring the Beads of Courage Bridge Bead, this activity was created in honor of siblings everywhere and made possible by the Newton Family, Sydney’s Coins for Courage, and Dawson, the honored sibling and brother of Sydney Newton.

Research shows that siblings who have a brother or sister coping with serious illness often experience anxiety, worry, and feelings of isolation. The Sibling EnCOURAGEment Activities were designed to help alleviate that stress, strengthen connection, and foster meaningful communication with trusted adults.

💙 Now also offered as a source of comfort and reflection for grieving siblings in honor of Children’s Grief Awareness Day – November 20th.
Just as bridges connect two places, the Bridge Bead symbolizes the unbreakable bond between siblings — a connection that continues even after death. The Bridge Activity offers children and families a creative way to honor their sibling’s memory, recognize their supports, and lean on others for encouragement as they move through their grief.
